Malchut: The Divine Queen (Zohar-Beshalach)

  • Summary

  • In this week’s portion of Beshalach, there’s a tremendous amount of teachings in the Zohar that discuss Malchut, the Divine Feminine. The Zohar refers to Malchut as the Shechina, the Nukva, and the Matronita, the Divine Queen.

The concept of the Divine Feminine is one that was originally introduced in the Talmud as the Shechina, the Divine presence in the world. Then, the Zohar took this concept and developed it much further as we shall see when we explore different themes connected to Malchut in today’s learning.
