    This special program is part of a new Missouri National Guard initiative to educate and inform the people we serve, roughly 6 million Missourians, as to who we are and what we do. The initiative, often referred to as "Guard TV," is an effort to better tell the story of the service and sacrifice of the Citizen Soldiers and Airmen of the Missouri National Guard. This program examines the history of the Missouri Guard, explains our dual mission (federal and state), and chronicles recent efforts of one of America's top military forces, both at home and abroad.

The program, which is the brainchild of Maj. Gen. Steve Danner, the Adjutant General, is meant to give public insight into the National Guard's role at home and abroad. This episode spotlights a Missouri National Guardsman who participates in Mixed Martial Arts, another who has an unorthodox civilian job, and a visit from Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James A. Cody at a Missouri military installation. This episodes also features a look at the Missouri National Guard's oldest facility, Jefferson Barracks.
