    In today’s episode I would like us to cover the topic of gratitude. I know this term has been used a lot in self-development communities, but I’d like to approach it from a different angle and show you what God says to us in his Word about the experience of gratitude. To start off, there is this term in our culture around Mondays, in the sense of, oh no, another Monday is coming of having to get back to work; or oh no my vacation is coming to an end. I used to relate to this a lot, I was dreading every Sunday the next week at school, university or at work and was even telling myself Friday is way too close to Monday, so I couldn’t even properly enjoy my weekends. The end of vacations was no different story. There was always that feeling of DREAD. During COVID, this situation had to change as every day looked the same, it started to blend into a never-ending ONE DAY that kept repeating. Needless to say, it was a miserable experience. However, it forced me to look into how I was spending my time, and why I was not enjoying it. Surely there were unfortunate circumstances outside of my control, but this didn’t mean that I had to be miserable. I felt God call me to open the Bible. After COVID, I fell back into old habits and living for the weekend to come. Then God showed to me that EVERY DAY MATTERED. So let us look at what did He say in His Word to us about the experience of gratitude.

    In today’s episode I would like to bring closer to you the Letter of Paul to the Romans, sixth book of the New Testament. The book of Romans is the New Testament's longest, most structured, and most detailed description of Christian theology. Paul lays out the core of the gospel message: salvation by grace alone through faith alone. His intent is to explain the good news of Jesus Christ in accurate and clear terms. He begins Romans 8, though, with the triumphant statement that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. We live in the Spirit, and we relate to God as a child does to a father. The Spirit helps us in this season of suffering along with all of creation while we wait for our adoption to be complete with the redemption of our bodies. We are confident, though, that God is for us and nothing can separate us from His love.

    I hope everyone has enjoyed their Easter holidays, and felt the true joy of the resurrection! In this second episode, we will talk about the story of doubting Thomas which is the story that follows the Jesus’ resurrection when he appears to his disciples. It is written in the gospel of John chapter 20 verse 24-29 "Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Welcome to the first episode of the new faith-based podcast Lëtz Walk with Christ where we talk about Jesus’ life, the testimonies of people around him in form of gospels, and see how we can walk more like Jesus today and how we can love more like him. Today we will talk about a reading from 1st letter to Corithians 13 chapter verses 4-8 which are my favourite verses. Saint Paul’s first letter to the church of Corinth was to challenge believers to examine their lives against the image of Christ. He especially placed a lot of focus on love — Christ’s love. 1 Corithians 13:4-8 : "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."
