White will talk about why she is aiming to get her doctorate, the academic/work-life of a Ph.D., and how she still maintains a full and enriching life outside of her educational pursuit. In this episode, I will be introducing you to my friend David Swain. David is a biomedical engineer at Edwards Lifesciences who designs implantable heart valves and holds a patent. Mr. Swain has worked in multiple countries, been featured on the cover of a magazine, and still goes out to party with some of the country's top DJs. Kara may be in her field of choice now, but she couldn’t find an entrance into the industry.  She may have started at a disadvantage, but she created an opportunity for herself through persistence. In this episode, I will be introducing you to my friend Kinnidy Coley. Kinnidy is currently a veterinary medicine student at North Carolina State University. Kinnidy, despite being raised as a city girl, always had a passion for animals. For the last few years, Kinnidy has been working on the farm. She has done everything from de-horning cattle to cleaning chicken coops. Come listen to her share her passion for veterinary medicine and animal welfare.
