During the Tokyo Olympics 2020 broadcast from the pool, Emma was often seen cheering for her teammates, waving her big South African flag, and carrying a clipboard. Her behind-the-scenes videos from the poolside went viral on social media.

    Emma broke the South African 50 freestyle record in both the quarter and the semifinals at the Olympics and achieved a PB in both races. Well done Emma!
