    A medically trained doctor with a specialist interest in neurosurgery, Dr. Fantis completed his degree in Neurosurgery with outstanding achievement and has conducted pivotal research on the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in neurosurgery at Buckingham University (UK). His work in this area, particularly on molecular diagnostics and AI in gliomas, has garnered recognition and led to presentations at esteemed conferences such as the Society of British Neurosurgeons.

    Prior to his role at Encode Health, Dr. Fantis was the lead surgical officer at Touch Surgery in London. There, he pioneered the innovative use of app-based platforms to teach surgery. He collaborated with world-renowned surgeons and medical device corporations, distilling complex surgical procedures into accessible, animated guides that have trained surgeons globally. This role underscored his ability to translate high-level surgical techniques into practical, digital learning tools, enhancing surgical education worldwide.

    In addition to his surgical and digital health expertise, Dr. Fantis has also contributed significantly to gynecology through his work at Dr. Morton’s, where he facilitated remote consultations in both primary and secondary care. His entrepreneurial spirit was evident early in his career when he founded and operated the largest medical summer school, providing crucial guidance to aspiring medical students on entering their chosen specialties.

She is currently the Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of knownwell, a comprehensive longitudinal obesity treatment and primary care clinic focused on delivering unbiased non-stigmatizing care for patients with obesity throughout the country. She is a former Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard University, the former co-director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Weight Center, a current ex-officio board member of the Obesity Action Coalition, and a founding member of the Massachusetts Coalition for Action on Obesity. Dr. Fitch is board-certified in obesity medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics.
