    Have you had enough of feeling stuck or going with a flow that you didn’t create?  Maybe you’re simply tired or living life by default and you’re longing to break free and create a life that is more satisfying.

    If this applies to you then its time to  get out of your head ….. and stop replaying the same old story time after time.

    It’s time to master your mindset and create a brand new story, a story where you overcome your fears and self doubt and start living your best life.

    Mindset has been defined as “a set of beliefs that shape how we make sense of the world”

    Our mindset influences how we think, feel and behave in different situations meaning that whatever we believe about ourselves will impact our success or failure.

    ” your thoughts are more powerful than any medicine that exists on this planet” – bruce lipton

    There is a school of thought that points towards the benefits of having a Positive Mental Attitude
     This PMA  school of thought promises to deliver us from  outdated, energy draining and negative ways of looking at life and replacing them with something far more appealing.

    The benefits promised in adopting a Positive Mental Attitude include:

    • The abiity to direct our strongest thoughts and feelings towards our positive desires.
    • The ability to recognise the God – given creative power within us
    • The ability to develop control of our emotions so that we can better direct our creative power
    • The ability to get rid of  negative attitudes
    • The ability to overcome fear and recognise  the destructive power of fear over our creative power.
    • The ability to stay focused on and only ever visualise the best possible scenarios.

    Having a positive mindset also helps us to learn from our previous mistakes rather than brooding over them.

    Mastering and maintaining a positive mindset involves the following 10 key steps:

    1. Take Full Possession of Your Mind 
    2. Focus Only on the Things You Do Want and Not the Things You Don’t Want 
    3. Treat Others Exactly How You Would Like To Be Treated 
    4.  Overcome Negative Thoughts by Self Inspection 
    5. Be Happy and Make Others Happy! 
    6. Be Patient and Tolerant 
    7. Use Positive Affirmations 
    8. Pray 
    9. Set Goals 
    10. Think, Study and Plan Daily 

    Mastering your mindset is the key to success because it keeps you motivated and changes your attitude towards any problems that may occur in your life. Mastering your mindset is the key to unlocking your full potential and achieving your dreams. Your thinking will only ever do two things. Your thinking will either impair your abilities or empower your abilities and you get to choose.

  • Is Alcohol Stealing Your Power?

    Do you have a tendency to drink when you’re happy and have something to celebrate?

    Do you drink to drown your sorrows?

    Perhaps you tend to reach for a drink after a hard day’s work or maybe you simply enjoy socialising with a nice glass of wine or bottle of cold beer.

    On the face of it, there really doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with enjoying the odd glass here and there, but it might be useful to take a look at the exact nature of our relationship with alcohol.

    Most people tend to drink to relieve stress or simply to alter their emotional state to one that they believe will make them feel better in the short term.

    What we fail to realise though, is that alcohol is highly addictive and it can have a very negative impact on our lives both mentally and physically. It can destroy relationships, careers, health, finances and so on.

     It’s my view that alcohol can absolutely steal your personal power and prevent you from reaching your full potential and becoming the very best version of yourself.

    The way I see it, personal power is the energy that we create within ourselves – it’s the vital energy that puts us on the path to becoming the best that we can be.

    Alcohol can be the ultimate confidence trickster often deceiving us into believing that consuming it will be of benefit to us and somehow improve our ability to navigate the world.

    At best  the excessive consumption of alcohol will keep you living a very average life with your  goals forever resigned to a place on your to do list while you exist on a very mundane and unfulfilling level.

    At worst it will lead to a premature death!

    Alcohol ( especially when consumed excessively)  steals our personal power specifically by dumbing us down, making us feel numb and disrupting our energy in different areas of our lives.

    The vital energies that it steals from us are mainly

    • Hope 
    • Happiness and Joy  
    • Creativity 
    • Productivity
    • Connection to Inner/Higher Self 
    • Confidence and Self Belief – 
    • Good Health 

     So as you can see – Alcohol can absolutely steal your power and rob you of your spark and zest for life!

    One of the best decisions that I’ve  ever made was to drastically reduce my alcohol intake almost to the point of being teetotal except for very special occasions. 

    Once you’re able to take back your power in this way then you’ll start to experience some remarkable things, namely:

    • You have better control of your life
    • You’ll be more productive
    • You’ll have improved mental and physical health
    • You will no longer be prone to letting yourself down hence you’ll have a deeper level of self confidence
    • Never feeling hungover – Is 6 hours of drinking really worth 3 days of brain fog?
    • You will be forced to deal with your unhealed traumas and unprocessed emotions
    • You’ll have greater clarity on the things that bring you joy.

    Reclaiming your power in this way may well be one of the best decisions you ever make. Not only will it help you to see things so much more clearly but it will help to put that much needed SPARK back into your life and put you back on the path to becoming the best version of you.

  • Say Nothing Negative for 24 Hours!

    In this episode I am challenging you to change the way you think and speak for the next 24 hours. We all want happy and satisfying lives but if we closely examine our thoughts and the words that we use when speaking to and about others, we will soon realise  just how much negative energy we generate in our own lives and allow to circulate in the world around us. When faced with life’s challenges, our conditioned behaviour and automatic responses tend to be more negative than positive.We all know what negative energy feels like. It can come from other people, our surroundings and our own mindset.Negative energy can leave us both mentally and physically exhausted.The effect of both thinking and speaking negatively is pretty far reaching and pollutes all levels of our life experience.
    The 2 main effects of thinking and speaking negatively are:

    1. The impact on your mood and outlook on life 
    2. The impact on your ability to achieve goals 

    Other effects of being negative are: 

    • It affects the way people see you and can be damaging to your relationships and friendships.
    • Its damaging to your health on all levels.
    • It lowers your self esteem and confidence.
    • It makes you feel drained.
    • It just generally makes you unattractive.

    Benefits of  eliminating negative thoughts and speech

    • More fulfilling relationships and stronger connections to people.
    • Better mental and physical  health and more stable mental well being.
    • Lower levels of anxiety and depression.
    • Will make you more attractive to others and place you in a better position to attract better opportunities for yourself

    Habits that will help us to avoid thinking and speaking negatively:

    • Avoid getting too involved in matters that don’t concern you. 
    • Practice speaking and thinking positively.
    • Stay focused on your goals.
    • Focus on  the present moment.
    • Focus on finding practical solutions to challenging situations.
    • Become aware when you find yourself veering towards saying or thinking anything negative and command yourself to stop

    When you’re  consistently positive  – Life just  seems to flow a whole lot better and you may feel a higher sense of purpose, peace, hope and meaning. You may find that you’re able to manifest your desires more and also make better sense of your life experiences. 

     Our thoughts and words  have a powerful frequency and carry an energy which has the effect of altering our reality and what we experience in life.

    So with this in mind, we owe it to ourselves to be more mindful about our thoughts and spoken word in order to manifest our desired reality more effortlessly.

    So here’s my challenge for you:

    Over the next 24 hours observe yourself very closely and try to catch yourself every time you’re about to say or think  something negative.  When you find yourself veering towards saying or thinking something negative ,  dont beat yourself up but simply notice it and stop. Your new level of self  awareness is where the  vital changes will  begin to take place.

    Try this challenge for 24 hours or even 3 days and see what a difference it makes in your life. I am confident that if we can all get in the habit of doing this, that in time it will simply become a way of life.

  • Live Your Life Like It’s Golden!

    This episode is inspired by the words in Jill Scott’s song “I’m living my life like it’s golden”  I love and feel so inspired by these words and often reflect on just what those words actually mean.

    These words represent self empowerment and being able to truly take control of one’s life … but how do we do this?  The answer lies in taking one step at a time, one day at a time and simply “living each day as if its golden”.

    You may ask what it means to live each day like its golden, and for me the answer to that question  lies in the ability to bring the very best version of ourselves to each new day.

    The ability to be the best version of ourselves is rooted  within us.

    Living each day like its golden means bringing your best possible energy to every moment of every day with your words thoughts and actions.

    Every “moment” of our life presents us with a unique opportunity to create and dictate how most of our future moments will play out;  and our only real responsibility is to take full ownership and accountability for our words thoughts and actions in each of our NOW moment.

    In this episode I focus on how to truly be in control of our ALL OUR PRESENT  MOMENTS  to live each day like its golden  using our mind power  to stay present.  I highlight some of the other ways that will assist  on the journey to becoming the best versions of ourselves and living a golden life.

    They include

    1.   Accepting Personal Responsibility for who you are today.
    2. Forgiveness of yourself and others 
    3. Smiling more 
    4. Visualising a  beautiful future but working  hard NOW
    5. Stop Worrying 
    6. Be Thankful

    7.  KEEP YOUR MIND FIRMLY FOCUSED ON THE PRESENT (MOST OF THE TIME)

    The mind is a powerful tool, but without good training, our thoughts and feelings can sabotage our goals and cause anxiety and depression.

    Learning to “Be Present” is a great way of staying mentally fit so that you can enjoy your life to the fullest.
    What does “Being Present” mean?
    Being Present
    means fully enjoying and participating in the moment that you are in. It is the moment that you are calm and you know exactly what you want. You are focused on what you are doing without thinking about anything else. That is when life is more real

    Being Present is an act of allowing ourselves to come out of the mind chatter that we spend most of our lives engaged with.

    Being Present means letting go of our attachment to the past and to the future.

    Being Present means recognising ourselves as the observers of our thoughts and being able to redirect our wayward thoughts into a more positive and constructive direction.
    The most important time of our life is the one that we think of the least: The present moment!
    The reason that only the present matters is that everything happens here and we should, therefore, do our very best to ensure that our “NOW” moments are positive and productive.Everything you feel and sense takes place in the present
    Your power is in NOW!
    Learning to be present more often than not has definitely changed my life for the better. My life is simply more peaceful and positively productive.  By being more mindful about each of our waking thoughts we can begin to mould our life experiences and live each day like its golden.   • My Top 10 Tips for a Healthy and Balanced life

    A balanced life is the key to peace of mind and a happy and successful life. There are things in life that we have to do and things that we simply enjoy doing. The challenge is to learn how to balance those things. When you are living with balance, you are living with peace and harmony at all times. Balance comes in physical, emotional and spiritual forms.
    Let’s face it, our lives are extremely busy. Trying to juggle money earning with nurturing and maintaining a good family life and having a healthy social life and self awareness can be challenging.

    Being in balance will mean something different to different people. For most of us it is simply about creating time for the things we like to do as well as those things we have to do. It is up to each of us to create harmony and balance between our life responsibilities and activities that bring us pleasure, personal fulfilment and rejuvenation.

    It took me almost half a century but finally, I think have found some golden rules that have helped me to achieve a happier and more balanced life than I ever thought was possible.
