What is my Identity – Who am I – we don't ask this question about our identity and most times we struggle to answer it. When asked about our identity, most time the answers are, a father, husband, podcaster, CEO, black, African yes this identifies with you but at the core of your being who are you, those infinite values that are timeless and identify with you because the roles will always change but the infinite remain. So lets alway take time to look in the mirror and define us because for me identity is you in your reflection not what the world or society say about you but what you have discovered for yourself and know to be true. That each day you wake that identity will light up a fire in you to unleash your greatness.

My core identity or at least what i am thriving to be known for is loving, caring, hardworking, considerate, respectful, honest, forgiving, a believer of Christ Jesus, Driven and never giving up, Ever Evolving, Consistent, Showing up, My Word is my bond, Uncompromising, someone who gets things done, Generous. These values remain forever even beyond the grave, i should be a loving father or husband, a hardworking man not just any man. I will ask again who are you, Who am I? Because years later after you no-longer a superstar, a CEO, a Runner, who are you then?

Identity Formation is a long life process of discovery, but most we never really ask the question so we live through life in a crisis of identity. Your Values and Beliefs, Experiences, Social groups, Location and Opportunities, Family and Friends, Personal Interest and Desire, Ethnicity, race and culture, Knowledge Gap help define you.

It is important to know you. Don’t lose internal validation because you want external validation. When you validate yourself before the world, you have more confidence, you are sure of self, you know what you want, you never compromise.
