    Nov 3 2024
Another November Sunday after a loss, but the Sunday Side Session still brings you all the analysis you want or didn’t know you needed following UCLA’s win over Nebraska. This time Mike Schaefer is joined by 93.7 The Ticket’s Derrick Pearson as the two discuss what happened on the field and how UCLA came into Lincoln with a plan and exposed the Huskers. Conversation starts with the defense, but mostly moves into a long discussion about play calling, identity, offensive coaching, setting up players before talking about red zone offense and Dylan Raiola. Finally it finishes with a simple but difficult question — can this Nebraska team pull itself together and get over the hump and why should anyone believe it can? • Husker247 Postgame Pod: NU hangs around in close lose to Buckeyes
    Oct 26 2024
Husker247 gathered for a post-game recap of Nebraska’s tough 21-17 loss to Ohio State on Saturday. Brian Christopherson and Mike Schaefer got together and walked through how the 4-point loss played out and why Saturday’s close loss was every bit as surprising as last week’s blowout to Indiana. The two specifically dove into the strong play from the defensive front, highlighting Jimari Butler and MJ Sherman in particular as the two had strong performances and really made life difficult on Will Howard and the Ohio State offensive line. Then it was time to give John Hohl his flowers for a shockingly good kicking performance that allowed the Huskers to add points instead of getting nothing out of its early game success. Finally they addressed the offense from the running game to the play calling. A few things were working well in the running game but not much went right through the air. Where are things sitting for a passing game that was thought to be a strength at one point this season?
