It is finally here,Week 18 of the NFL season. While most things are already set for the NFL's postseason, some teams still have some business to take care of. Hidden Gems Football uses part 1 of their Week 18 preview to take on the AFC.
First game up is the Cincinnati Bengals heading to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers. The 8-8 Bengals will need help to make the playoffs, but their 1st step is to beat the Steelers. By the time the game starts, the 10-6 Steelers will know if they still have a chance at the AFC North title. But even if the division title is out of reach, winning the game may be crucial. At the moment, Pittsburgh is the 5 seed coming into the weekend, which makes the struggling Houston Texas their likely match-up. If they fall down to 6, they would be looking at facing the streaking Baltimore Ravens.
Hidden Gems Football then moves onto New York on a Sunday afternoon as the Miami Dolphins will take on the New York Jets. A win by the 8-8 Dolphins would not only keep the Miami's playoff dreams alive, but it would eliminate Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. On the other side of the ball, the Jets are simply playing for pride. Does this bruised and battered 4-12 Jets team still have any pride left?
And finally, Mike and Mo will discuss the game that will most impact on the final AFC playoffs, the Kansas City Chiiefs versus the Denver Bronco's. The 15-1 Chiefs have already locked up a 1st round bye and they may be planning on resting their stars until playoff time. However, for the Broncos, this game is crucial. A win and they are in. A loss and they would need the Dolphins and the Bengals to lose as well to sneak in thru the post seasons backdoor.
