Playwright, Jonathan Cook, is the host of the series and most of the stories you hear were originally written as short stage plays that have been produced in theatres around the World. Short play festivals have become wildly popular in recent years and they have given playwrights a platform for their work. The audio plays produced on this podcast range from festival award winners to brand new world premieres giving these talented playwrights an even wider audience for their stories.     In this episode, the hosts of Gather by the Ghost Light and Doctor Necropolis have both accidentally booked the same dungeon studio from Air D&D. Gather by the Ghost Light is there to perform their annual horror show STAGE FRIGHTS while the Doc is there to perform a sacrifice. They decide to blend their two worlds and have the sacrificial candidates perform in the show in order to determine who will be sacrificed. The second story performed by the prisoners is called FIRST SHIFT. A new hire at a security job soon discovers that this is no ordinary workplace. Produced and directed by Jonathan Cook & Devon McSherry. The STAGE FRIGHTS theme and concept created and written by Jonathan Cook. The featured audio play FIRST SHIFT was written by Leah Philbin. The STAGE FRIGHTS series stars A.C.
