In this episode, we discuss our early years having been born and raised in Canada and what it was like as a Canadian born Filipina. Our experiences and lessons have shaped us immensely and has sparked a commitment to how we can contribute to Future Filipina and what we'd like to see for our future with this platform.

On this episode, Kristine and I dive into our dating history and the stereotype of how Canadian Born Filipinas (and Filipinos) tend to go for other cultures when dating. We speak on our experiences, new found discoveries and how our husbands have taken on our Filipino culture!

This episode was a meaningful (and fun!) one to record - all about our self image and eating issues growing up in a Filipino household and how that's impacted us over time. Unrealistic and unhealthy body ideals imposed on young Filipina girls have the potential to cause years and years of unhealthy habits and issues and its up to each of us to transform the conversation so that our children and coming generations don't have to endure and face what we did growing up.

This is definitely an ongoing conversation my sister and I have often, and I'm glad we have a platform to be able to share this with other women and young girls who can relate.
