Growing up around business men, taught me things at such a young age, that many of my school-age friends had no idea anything about. I realized when I got older, that while I thought I was being used for free labor (and I was) that the real payment to me wasn't in money, it was knowledge that you can't put a price on. Listen in to this weeks episode where I talk about my dad, and how his love for BBQ caused me to understand the cost of food, the cost of a cheeseburger and how it all ultimately came back to me within every business adventure I've been a part of since I was 15.

Profit is a Mindset

Make no mistake, you either have the profit-first mindset...or you don't. Jerry has talked openly about permission for profit, and how if you find yourself in a group of peers and you're waiting around for them to give you the green light to be a legitimately profitable business.....don't want any longer. You don't need their approval or permission. Get profitable now....today. Just know, in doing so, you'll have to get your mindset right, and that takes setting goals, and making sure those goals are realistic. It all starts with your mindset. Get it right, to get it RIGHT..!!

Permission for Profit

Jerry takes a minute to talk about profit, your peers and the desire to be profitable. As a small business owner, your goal should be profitabiltiy, along wtih sustainibility and as always, you should be paying yourself.

When is the right time to demand your business becomes profitable? Right NOW. Unfortunately, if you're waiting around for permission from your peers to go ahead and get your gross margins correct, and asking your customers when you should raise your prices.....you might never get to where you want to be with your business.

You don't need anyone's approval to be profitable....when you take on the CEO Mindset, that's all the approval you need.
