  • 18. Mother Marie Julie Saegaert, SCMC - 2021 Pro Fidelitate et Virtute Award Recipient

    Started in 1986, the Pro Fidelitate et Virtue Award is conferred each year at the Institute on Religious Life’s National Meeting to someone who has been outstanding in the support and promotion of authentic religious life.

    Today's episode is honoring our 2021 award recipient, Mother Marie Julie Saegaert SCMC.

    Mother entered the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church and received the name Marie Julie. Mother has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry and in Education, attained a Certification in Health Care Administration and in Medical Ethics. Not only has Mother taught Healthcare Law and Ethics, but has also ministered in the healthcare field.

    Mother was elected to the IRL Board of Directors, eventually serving as Executive Vice President. In 2012, Mother was elected Superior General of her community.

    Today's episode is a recording of a talk from the 2024 National Meeting entitled, "Mary, Icon of the Eucharistic Pilgrim". We hope you enjoy!
