The Giants started off very slowly with the bats and struggled to even reach the .500 mark for much of the early part of the season. Then, after weeks of struggling to play consistent baseball, the Giants went on a hot streak and pulled to two games over .500. The SF Giants immediately followed that with a six-game losing streak which pushed them back to four games under .500.
