Episode 8: Madam Marie Delphine LaLaurie: The Real Life American Horror Story

  • Summary

  • Marie Delphine LaLaurie was America's first female serial killer and In a lot of ways, she is the female version of HH Holmes. LaLaurie had her own version of a murder mansion, where her slaves became her victims but her crimes were committed almost 100 years before that of HH Holmes and Jack the Ripper. She was portrayed by the great Cathy Bates in AHS Coven and her mansion where she committed her atrocious murders and tortures is one of the most widely visited tourist attractions in New Orleans, and in all of Louisiana for that matter. LaLaurie would torture, mutilate, starve and even perform horrendous experiments on her victims. Join me and my guest host as we discuss the life and crimes of Marie Delphine LaLaurie and I share with you what it was like visiting her mansion in person as well as other macabre sites in New Orleans.
