  • A lot of people join STEM fields in the hopes to be a part one day of an extraordinary exploration mission. As someone who's been a part of nearly every major NASA Mars mission over the past two decades, Rick Welch certainly has an enviable history!

    Rick joined the Mars Pathfinder Sojourner Rover Operations Team in 1997, and has since worked on the MER (Spirit & Opportunity), Mars Science Laboratory (Curiosity), InSight and the Mars2020 missions.
