  • On the podcast of The Game with Mark Simon and Bob Marks, Congressman Kevin Mullin (D-South San Francisco) said he supports the pending county charter amendment that would allow the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to fire Sheriff Christina Corpus, and he said she inevitably will be forced to leave office. Mullin said California Attorney General Rob Bonta can and should take steps to oust the controversial sheriff.

    Mullin also weighed in on a range of national issues, including immigration and he predicted President-elect Donald Trump’s calls for mass deportations of illegal immigrants would fall short of his rhetoric.
