Episode 16 - Liza Zhurkovskaya - Art, Empathy and Community

  • Summary

  • Liza Zhurkovskaya, (Curator on the Go)  is a Toronto-based Art Curator and Art Advisor. Liza works at the Arta Gallery in the Distillery District and she owns her own online gallery, Kefiart Gallery. She is also an agent and a coach for artists. Her goal is to welcome everyone to the art world and help people collect, buy, and commission art, stress-free.

We recorded our discussion during the first lockdown of 2020. Liza is bringing her passion and vision to the art world with a strong focus on community engagement. She clearly has a rare sensitivity to human emotions and inner life and I love how she finds ways to activate these invisible facets when curating exhibitions.
