  • 路加福音 Luke 25到一位童贞女那里，她已与达味家族中的一个名叫若瑟的男子订了婚，童贞女的名字叫玛利亚。 25Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he hath had regard to take away my reproach among men. 26天使进去向她说：「万福！充满恩宠者，上主与你同在！」【在女人中你是蒙祝福的。】 26And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee, called Nazareth, 27她却因这话惊惶不安，便思虑这样的请安有什么意思。 27To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28天使对她说：「玛利亚，不要害怕，因为你在天主前获得了宠幸。 28And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29看，你将怀孕生子，并要给他起名叫耶稣。 29Who having heard, was troubled at his saying, and thought with herself what manner of salutation this should be. 30他将是伟大的，并被称为至高者的儿子，上主天主要把他祖先达味的御座赐给他。 30And the angel said to her: Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God. 31他要为王统治雅各伯家，直到永远；他的王权没有终结。」 31Behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and shalt bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name Jesus. 32玛利亚便向天使说：「这事怎能成就？因为我不认识男人。」 32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the most High; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of David his father; and he shall reign in the house of Jacob for ever. 33天使答复她说：「圣神要临于你，至高者的能力要庇廕你，因此，那要诞生的圣者，将称为天主的儿子。 33And of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34且看，你的亲戚依撒伯尔，她虽在老年，却怀了男胎，本月已六个月了，她原是素称不生育的， 34And Mary said to the angel: How shall this be done, because I know not man? 35因为在天主前没有不能的事。」 35And the angel answering, said to her: The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the most High shall overshadow thee. And therefore also the Holy which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36玛利亚说：「看！上主的婢女，愿照你的话成就于我罢！」天使便离开她去了。
