EPHEMERAL PLEASURES CANNOT FULFILL THE HUMAN NEED FOR FULFILLMENT AND MEANING.

Ephemeral pleasures are those that provide temporary and superficial satisfaction, such as the incessant search for material goods, power, social status or sensory pleasures. These pleasures are not inherently evil, but they become problematic when placed as the main goal of life. This is because they cannot satisfy the deepest needs of the human being.

Every human being has an innate desire for something deeper and lasting. This desire is often interpreted as a search for God or a relationship with the divine. The innate desire for something deeper and lasting reveals that we are created for and by God, and that we will not find peace until we rest in him. This idea expresses that true satisfaction can only be found in God.

Meaningful life is lived according to the teachings of Christ. This includes values such as love, compassion, forgiveness, humility and service to others. By following these principles, Christians believe they can experience a deeper sense of purpose and inner peace.

Faith is seen as a personal and continuous relationship with God. This involves not only belief in God, but also trust and surrender to the divine will. This relationship is nurtured through practices such as prayer, meditation on the scriptures, participation in the religious community and living a moral life.

Life on earth is a preparation for the afterlife. This perspective offers a long-term vision and purpose that transcends the temporal limits of earthly existence. Hope in the resurrection and eternal communion with God is a motivating factor for living a full and meaningful life.
