Kathy is the co-founder and CEO of CyrenCare, where she is transforming emergency and urgent care workflows by revolutionizing patient-provider communication. A seasoned emergency medicine specialist trained at Samsung Medical Center, Kathy formerly served as an Assistant Professor at Ajou University in South Korea. Specializing in post-cardiac arrest care and resuscitation, she conducted research funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea, resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications. She spearheaded innovations in physician-to-physician communication within the Emergency Department, which inspired her to tackle fragmented patient-provider interactions.

Kathy integrates her expertise in medicine, digital health, machine learning, and design—bolstered by digital health, architecture and design studies from MIT, Sungkyunkwan University and Hongik University—to drive innovation at CyrenCare.
