    Empress Energy is about building each other up. As we support those around us, we will inevitably feel supported. As we look inward, accepting ourselves for who we truly are, and determine clear goals in terms of self improvement, our community also thrives. There is a ripple effect when we value ourself and others, so let's talk about it.

  • Queenly Charisma
    Oct 30 2023

    Welcome back my royal baddies! This week we will be chatting about Queenly Charisma and how you can add a layer of sweet cool charm to your life by recognizing a few simple things as you interact with those around you. It can be as simple as saying the cashiers name at the grocery store. You would be surprised how easy it is to change someone's  mood, just by saying their name. So let's get into it!

    • Say my name say my name:
      • Dale Carnegie believed that a person’s name is the sweetest sound they can hear.
      • Fae and fairies: I told you I would find a way to talk about fairies. Names are powerful and all folklore talks about how you need to call a fairy by their true name to control them. Obviously we arent talking about controlling people with their names, but this idea is ancient. I put a lot of effort into naming my kids for this very reason.
    • Charisma has three main ingredients, according to Ronald Riggio, PhD, professor of leadership and organizational psychology at Claremont McKenna College. They are
      • expressiveness (a talent for spontaneously striking up conversations and easily conveying feelings);
      • control (the ability to fine-tune your persona to fit the mood and social makeup of any group);
      • and sensitivity (a gift for listening and sussing out other people's mind-sets). "A lot of charisma comes down to how you communicate," Riggio says. "It's your ability to pick up on other people's emotions as well as express your own."
    • Compliments are useful relationship building tools, only if they are genuine and you mean it.
      • Play the compliment game with your friend or partner and see what you discover or how it can alter and deepen your bond.
    • “How to win friends and influence people” by Dale Carnegie
