Our latest episode whisks you away on a supernatural journey through the haunting legends and eerie traditions of East Anglia. We start at the East Anglian Folklore Centre in Colchester, unraveling the rich history of Halloween customs, like the flower-adorned graves in Witham and the mesmerising divination rituals that once defined All Hallows' Eve. Discover how commercialism has morphed these once somber traditions of remembrance into today’s festive spectacle.

We are back with another tale we collected on the road.

It seems things go bump in the night a lot in New Town, Colchester...particularly on Harsnett Road.

Eerie Essex on the road was supported by the Essex County Council Arts and Cultural Fund, who provided funding and support for this undertaking.

A Great Podcast!

After just a couple of episodes listening to Bethan and Ailsa you can't help but feel as though you know them and that you're meeting up with two friends to chat about scary stories and spooky goings on. Full of both modern and traditional tales in and around Essex, this is a really relaxed and friendly podcast to listen to when you're looking for something exciting. Well-researched by both presenters, and covering a wide-range of topics, this is a fantastic podcast to listen to if you are looking to learn a little more about the more unusual aspects of this part of the world. Great fun to binge-listen to :)
