  • In this episode I chat to Ivana who talks me through her pregnancy & the birth of her son. Ivana was in the care of the hospital for much of her pregnancy but decided much later to opt for a homebirth. She previously had surgery to remove part of her cervix but thankfully, all was well at the time of her pregnancy and her cervix had actually lengthened.Ivana's midwife made the decision to transfer her to hospital which she goes into in our chat. Her midwife stayed with her in the hospital for support and she still received her two weeks postnatal care which is what I love about the service. She remained so calm and was incredibly accepting of each and every decision made for her. I loved her mindset, she considers everything as temporary and there was no sign of panic or loss of control.
