Anime Bleach Thousand Year Blood War will air in 2022. The broadcast schedule was announced at Shueisha's Jump Fest '22 event which was held on Saturday (18/12). The anime, based on Tite Kubo's manga, will premiere in October 2022 on TV Tokyo.

• Not only that, the event also confirmed that Bleach Thousand Year Blood War will cover the rest of the original manga until the end.

Bleach Thousand Year Blood War will be directed by Tomohisa Taguchi (Twin Star Exorcists, Kino's Journey - The Beautiful World) who replaces Director Noriyuki Kudo.

As reported by Anime News Network on Saturday (18/12), Masashi Kudo will return as character designer, and Shiro Sagiso as music composer.

The anime Bleach Thousand Year Blood War will star Masakazu Morita (Ichigo Kurosaki), Fumiko Orikasa (Rukia Kuchiki), Noriaki Sugiyawa (Uryū Ishida), Yuki Matsuoka (Orihime Inoue), Hiroki Yasumoto (Yasutora Sado) and many more.

Some of the voice actors from the game Bleach: Brave Souls will also appear in this anime.

Thousand Year Blood War is the final arc of the Bleach manga covering volumes 55-74. Kubo released Bleach in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001 and ended in August 2016.

Viz Media subsequently published the manga in English in digital translation in North America, as well as hardcopy.

The Bleach manga was later also adapted into a 366-episode television anime that aired from 2004-2012. Viz Media acquired the television and video rights for the anime in 2006. The anime franchise also includes four films and two OVAs.

The franchise has also inspired a video game, novel, stage play, and live-action film that premiered in July 2018. Kubo recently provided character designs for the video game Shin Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars).
