  • All week on Lost in Music we have been shouting from the airwaves about the Street Lights project which is raising funds for three of Ireland's homeless charities, The Peter McVerry Trust, Simon Community & Focus Ireland.  Have a listen to the chat Claire Beck had with Faye from Little Green Cars & Sinead Troy from Yangaroo about their involvement in this amazing project.  The album was released on Friday last and features a host of amazing and rare tracks from the likes of Bell X1, Snow Patrol, Saint Sister,  Richard Hawley with Lisa Hannigan, James Vincent McMorrow, Damien Dempsey, Luka Bloom, Villagers, Stephen James Smith, David Gray, The Frames, Lisa O'Neill, Glenn & Ronan and Celtic Woman DONATE FROM YOUR PHONE BY TEXTING STREET LIGHTS TO 50300 TO DONATE €4 TO IRISH HOMELESS CHARITIES Also featured on the album is single ‘Homeward Bound' which was recorded in Camden Studios with producer/arranger Cian Boylan and features a host of prolific artists including The High Hopes Choir, Gary Lightbody, Cathy Davey, Villagers, Loah, Bono, Roisin O, Join Me In The Pines, Little Green Cars, Saint Sister and Colm Mac Con Iomaire. '  Ireland's musicians joined forces as 'Street Lights' to release single 'Homeward Bound' and the album 'Street Lights' to generate funds for the most vulnerable, our homeless. Peter McVerry Trust, Simon Community Ireland and Focus Ireland will be the recipients of all profits of the single and album sales, which they have agreed will go directly to rehoming and rehousing on a national level.
