I've always loved how versatile Mazi is as a producer, so my main goal for this mix was to showcase the breadth of his work under various pseudonyms. Indeed, Mazi has a track for any mood. If you want something low and slow with amazing vocals "Do You Want Me" is one of the best. Need a 134 bpm all-major-chord banger happier than bunnies cumming sunshine? Check out "Refill?". How about a minimal tech track that is psychedelic and groove-heavy? Easy! Mazi is producing loads of them under the name Audio Soul Project. Not to mention that under the pseudonym Studio Nova, he was a pioneer of the filtered sound that defined Disco House in the late 90s. "The Reason We Took It Underground" is still one of the best records I've ever heard to this day. After 25 years not only does it still sound fresh, even the social messaging is still relevant. It's confirmation that we were absolutely on the right track back then. Something still worthy of our time now. And that makes it all the more special.
