The American leg of the tournament took place in East Meadow, New York. Then, why did the marketing of the event constantly messaged "Cricket taking over New York City?" In this episode I share my thoughts on this advertising campaign as well as my experience watching two of the first group matches in East Meadow, New York - NOT NYC!

The national Women's Cricket Team of Pakistan continues to underperform and there are no questions being asked, no alarm bells rung. Why doesn't anyone want to discuss the team's performance? In this episode we share the Pakistan Women's Cricket Team's performance in the year 2022 and explain the reasons for this performance. It all starts with the PCB leadership and administration, but important questions are also raised about the women's team head coach David Hemp. The PCB should update us on what's happening in women's cricket more regularly and Chairman Ramiz Raja and the Head of Women's Cricket Tania Mallick need to answer tough questions about the team's development and future plans. At a recent press conference, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja shut down a reporter who attempted to ask a question about players not being allowed to interact with reporters. It may appear to be just an anomaly, but it is actually a symptom of a larger problem: the growing mistrust and a rift between the PCB and the Pakistani media.
