We're breaking for summer and for the last episode of our first season we thought it only fitting to do a food and wine pairing to get you ready for all those summer cookouts!

On this episode we go over the "rules" of food and wine pairing. We give you the notables and while food and wine can do some really cool things, there's one other rule we all stand behind. Drink what you love!

We even sample a bottle from our "13 under 13" shelf, a  shelf in our shop that's dedicated to quality wines at wallet friendly price points. Spoiler alert on the wine we sampled, we loved it- and you can buy it! On this episode we answer the burning question- what makes wine good?

Yes, any professional in the industry could give you specifics about the region, climate, style, etc. But just because a wine is deemed "good," doesn't mean you'll like it. So, the better question, is what do YOU like about wine?

There's lots to love about wine and of course you want it to taste good, but we've found that some of our favorite wines have nothing to do with the price, the style, or where they came from. When we were asked about our favorite wine, it was attached to  a memory, often a fond memory of who we shared the wine with.
