Looking back
- Ohio state at Oregon
- Arizona State Beat Utah with Cam rising back. Utah now dropped out of the top 25, I am hearing rumors that Rising a 6 year senior might sit out the rest of the season, and come back next. His hand injury caused him to go 16/37 with 3 interceptions. Is this guys college football career finished?
- Alabama almost lost to the gamecocks- Discipline issues suspected in Tuscaloosa? Are the gamecocks better than the story their record shows?
- Penn State Struggling against USC- showed some major weakness. Still won by 3 in overtime. Moved up to #3 in the polls. Jo’Quavious Marks put up 111 yards.
- Texas vs Oklahoma- Texas controlled that game so well. Is Texas head and shoulders better than everyone else?
- Kansas State beats Colorado- there was so much hype around Colorado going into this game with both teams at 4-1. I think Colorado and Deion are finding their way slowly in the dark, but this is not the season they’ll reach the top.
Questions for the Week
- Ashton Jeanty. On track to beat Barry sanders records? 1380 yards away and 20 touchdowns from Barry sanders single season record with six games remaining.
- Of the undefeated teams in the Big10 we have Indiana, Penn State and Oregon. None play each other. All have a semi easy road to undefeated. Oregon, Penn State and Indiana will play Ohio State…… is that going to determine who makes the championship game? Who beats OSU by the most points?
- Liberty, Army and Navy are the only group of 5 teams left who are undefeated. Army and Navy play on December 14th. AAC championship game is Dec 6th. Does this schedule conflict hurt their chances of a playoff berth?
- I’m starting to think Liberty will not be a playoff contender just because of their strength of schedule, since we have some strong competition in the other conferences.
Games for the Week
- #1 Texas vs #5 Georgia- Texas seams unbeatable to me. Top 10 in total offense and total defense. And home field advantage.
- Nebraska At #16 Indiana- Indiana’s undefeated Nebraska’s five and one I don’t think I’ve seen this type of matchup in years between these two teams
- #7 Alabama at #11 Tennessee- huge potential for both of these teams to establish themselves now that they both have one loss.
- #24 Michigan at #22 Illinois- Michigan is just trying to hold on to relevancy, while Illinois is trying to establish themselves as relevant
- #12 Notre Dame at Georgia Tech- they can play some ball this season, and Notre Dame has lost too much worse than Georgia Tech.
- #8 LSU at Arkansas- Arkansas definitely has the ability to be LSU. They are a good team despite their record. They are at home so at least an hour to deal with death Valley.
- South Carolina at Oklahoma- I think the gamecocks are looking for some sort of big win right now which they need. Challenge is going to be going into Oklahoma trying to be a team that just came off of a loss.
