10 years ago if asked to define a "Scout", Filmmaker/writer/narrator Molly Secours would have said “they are honest, trustworthy, loyal and could probably build one helluva good campfire”. Not a huge baseball fan but an ardent uplifter of the underdog and invisible, Secours became obsessed about the invisible men (and women) who devoted their entire lives to finding that next Hall Of Famer: baseball scouts.
Are they traveling salesman, gamblers, tricksters or prophets?
After 9 years and interviewing over 160 legends in the game, Secours discovered that these hyper-focused, relentless and often hilarious humans possessed an uncanny ability to see what others didn't.
After almost decade of cavorting with some of the greatest minds in the baseball, Secours developed a deep reverence for these invisible heroes and in the process (by mistake) fell deeply in love with scouts and inadvertently (and accidentally) , baseball.
Join her an Arizona Diamondbacks super scout Chris Carminucci as they explore the untold, unvarnished, and often hilarious love story between scouts and baseball.
