Canes beaten by Kings, 4-2.

  • Summary

  • The Canes didn't make the most of a good early start and fell, 4-2, to the Kings. The loss snapped their 7-game points streak. Jesperi Kotkaniemi got the Hurricanes on the board first with a deflection of Sean Walker's point drive with a little less than 5 minutes remaining in the first period. But, Dimitry Orlov's turnover went right to L-A's Phillip Daneault, who's shot beat Frederik Andersen to tie the game. Orlov was on the ice for 3 of the 4 Kings goals, and didn't play the last 8:20, after Kevin Fiala's second goal of the game made it 4-2. Eric Robinson's 12th goal of the season drew the Canes within a goal early in the 3rd, but they would get no closer.
