  • One year ago, the COVID-19 pandemic forced institutions nationwide to take their classes online. Even their lab classes. But how do you successfully deliver lab experiences to your remote students? With many campuses still teaching virtually, and with online learning becoming increasingly popular, this question is the crux of this show and our mission at Carolina Distance Learning. On the anniversary of the first pandemic shutdowns, I interviewed two faculty members from Indiana University Northwest: Peter Avis, Associate Professor and Chair of Biology, and Kevin Kennedy, a microbiology lecturer, to get their feedback and reflections on the last year.
