  • It's the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for October 25, 2024. A big night with 43 games across men’s and women’s action and four games with ranked teams hitting each other head-to-head. No breakdowns, No analysis, it’s just the scores. We’ll start with the busy night on the men’s side.

    In men’s games, No. 1 Denver rallied twice to beat No. 20 Wisconsin 4-2, with Cale Ashcraft’s first goal of the season proving the game-winner.

    Seventh-ranked North Dakota jumped all over No. 3 Boston University with five first-period goals en route to a 7-2 win at The Ralph. Jackson Kunz scored twice for the Fighting Hawks.
    Fourth-ranked Michigan State blanked Canisius 3-0, improving to 4-1 on the season, while No. 5 Minnesota downed St. Thomas 7-1 behind Sam Rinzel’s two goals and assist.

    No. 6 Maine stayed unbeaten at 4-0 with a 4-1 victory over Northeastern. No. 9 Colorado College defeated Alaska-Anchorage 2-1 with Kaiden Mbereko making 28 saves. No. 11 Quinnipiac rolled over New Hampshire 8-2, with Andrew Schwartz netting his third of the season.

    No. 12 St. Cloud State edged Augustana 4-3 with Nick Portz scoring twice for the Huskies. No. 13 Providence needed overtime to beat Vermont 3-2 on Nick Poisson’s first goal of the season.

    No. 18 Minnesota State beat No. 16 Omaha 4-3 with Rhett Pitlick scoring the game-winner in the final minute.

    No. 17 Notre Dame defeated LIU 4-1, while No. 19 Ohio State downed Bowling Green 3-1.

    In Atlantic Hockey, Air Force took a 2-1 OT win over American International, with Brendan Gibbons forcing OT and Austin Schwartz scoring the winner. Bentley bested Army West Point 6-3, and Niagara routed Robert Morris 7-3. Ferris State topped Bemidji State 4-2, Union beat RPI 6-3, and Arizona State took down Northern Michigan 3-1.

    Clarkson earned a 4-1 win over Michigan Tech, Colgate edged RIT 5-4, and Holy Cross pulled out a 2-1 OT win against Sacred Heart. Lindenwood won 4-2 over Miami, Penn State defeated St. Lawrence 4-3, and Minnesota-Duluth beat Stonehill 5-1. In exhibition play, No. 10 Michigan beat the USNTDP 5-4 in OT.


    In women’s action, there were a pile of upsets. One place an upset DIDN’T happen was in Madison as top-ranked Wisconsin shut out Bemidji State 6-0, with Lacey Eden scoring twice and Laila Edwards netting her 10th goal of the season, keeping the Badgers unbeaten at 10-0.

    No. 2 Ohio State dominated Stonehill 11-0 at the Women’s Icebreaker, with three players each scoring twice. The Buckeyes will face No. 11 Cornell for the title. The Big Red beat No. 12 Penn State 2-0 with Annelies Bergmann recording 37 saves in the shutout.

    Fourth-ranked Minnesota rolled past Minnesota State 8-2, led by Natalie Miynkova’s two goals.

    No. 6 St. Lawrence defeated RIT 4-1, and seventh-ranked Colgate jumped to a 4-0 lead and never looked back, defeating Maine 8-3 with two goals from Kaia Malachino.

    Now the upsets - St. Thomas and No. 8 St. Cloud State ended tied at 1-1, with St. Thomas winning the shootout. Brown upended No. 9 Quinnipiac with a 2-1 OT win, thanks to two goals from Monique Lyons. Yale defeated No. 13 Princeton 3-1 with two goals by Cami Bell, and Providence edged No. 14 Northeastern 2-1.

    Elsewhere, RPI beat Dartmouth 3-1, Union blanked Harvard 3-0, Vermont took down New Hampshire 4-3, Franklin Pierce edged Post 3-2, Boston University handled Syracuse 4-1, Merrimack topped Lindenwood 5-1, and Robert Morris beat St. Anselm 6-1.
