29 - Why you should back yourself when you feel like giving in. What would happen if you backed yourself all the way? When I set up my first business when I was 17, I was struggling. I set up my small t-shirt and hoody and was hustling hard. I hid behind my brand because I struggled with social anxiety. I worked all the hours I could and, technically, three jobs, so I was burnt out constantly. I wasn't earning much money; my only customers were friends and family. (My grandma still wears my OG-designed hoodies, big up to Patricia!) I had zero visibility. To top it all off, I hid from everybody my ongoing silent battle with depression and anxiety. I also had to deal with the comments from people saying I wouldn't make it, I wasn't good enough, the usual toxic shit. But despite it all, I decided to back myself 100%. I never gave up despite the fear, the fatigue, and the tears; I told myself to keep going; you can do this; you know you can. I ditched my bullshit and excuses and fed my vision, not my fear. I came up with action to get what I wanted, not reasons to keep me from going for it. Fast forward to the present day... I am 27. I turned that first little side hustle into an internationally recognised brand and did it again for my second and third business. I am a marketing strategist and consultant showing service-based business owners how to grow their international brand and reach their vision on a daily basis. I own a marketing agency serving 6 & 7-figure entrepreneurs. I recently got engaged to the most incredible guy ever, and we just purchased our dream home. I love to get visible and have my podcast and regular guest expert. I am financially free and time rich, working less than 25 hours per week and spending most of the time with my dog & horse. THE DREAM. The best one, though, is the one I am most proud of. I am more confident in myself and happier than I have ever been. So, just when you feel like giving up, ladies here is your reminder to BACK YOURSELF. Lydia x
