  • January 2025: The Women by Kristin Hannah
    Jan 26 2025

Our first podcast of the year is here! Season 3! Can you believe it!?

This month we read “The Women” by Kristin Hannah. I’m sure we’ve all seen this book in our social media feeds, it’s been recommended to us by so many people, we were excited to see what the hype was. It did not disappoint.

When I say this book was a rollercoaster of ALL.THE.THINGS.. I’m not exaggerating!

“The Women” was funny, and heart wrenching with a generous sprinkling of “stop doing stupid stuff” and “where’s the red flag guy when you need him?”

Listen to the episode to find out what we really think and how Kellye can absolutely always tie everything back to “Outlander” 😉😂

Listen along, join us on the fable app, and as always on Instagram and TikTok.

  • December 2024: Hiddensee by Gregory Mcguire
    Dec 29 2024

    CW: self-harm, suicide
    Hiddensee by Gregory Mcguire
    Genre: Classic, Retelling
    Picked by : Kellye
Let’s wrap up the year and our reading challenge! This month we read Hiddensee by Gregory McGuire which is a prequel to the classic tale of the Nutcracker. It’s the story of Drosselmeyer, the creator of the nutcracker and Godfather to Marie and Fritz.

We’re fans of the Nutcracker, so we were curious to see where this story over lapped.

We discuss how the story differed from the ballet and how we felt about Mcguires writing style.

We also share what our reading challenge in 2025 will be and share some fun end of the year stats about Bound Sisters.

Listen along, join us on the fable app, and as always on Instagram and TikTok.

Join us next year for a brand new reading challenge!
