    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

Excited to bring you guys a new episode of the Black Men Vent Too Podcast. If you rock with us regularly, you know our podcast sounds like way more than just a “podcast”. We have segment breaks, commercial breaks, and so much more. To our new listeners, hit that follow button, and stick with us as we continue to advocate for mental health in our black men. 🧠

An “Out-East” raised brother, Army National Guardsman ⭐️ , and a father joins our podcast on today. Jeremy Rawls takes the time to sit down and vent with us about some of his early on entrepreneurship woes, but before we even get into his business journey … Jeremy went through a tough period of homelessness. He vented about resiliency, which exactly what it takes to get through almost a year of sleeping in your car. Jeremy says he learned so much from that experience, and it built a “mental muscle” that was able to help sustain him for life ahead. It’s way more to unpack in this episode Nashville, lock in this holiday season and take some time to listen to a black man vent today. ✌🏽

A proud student of Tennessee State University, David has taken off with his musical career since being a part of the HBCU. He prides himself on using a live band, and having that be his niche when performing. Ever heard of “Tiny Dorm” Concerts? Again, our guest is truly a creative and does these small dorm room live band concerts that you can find on his Instagram page. By far one of the most unique artists in our city, you’d have to check his catalog to hear the uniqueness in his voice, music, and overall approach to his craft. He vents about how it has been mentally being a part of TSU. Guys, get ready … cause David has some things he wants to get off his chest and he does that today on our show. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is a movement formed in 1909, and now stretched all across our nation in various cities and states. Joelton Elementary, Kings Lane (now Robert E. Lillard Elementary), Head Magnet School, Nashville School of the Arts, MTSU, any of these schools sound familiar Nashville? Mr. Williamson’s journey has accompanied all of these schools here in the city. So he definitely has seen the city grow in a many of ways. A now father, he has experienced a lot but has made sure that those experiences didn’t hinder him from the work needing to be done behind advocating for our culture. An opportunity presented itself overtime where at MTSU, he blossomed and served within a many of groups, organizations, and leadership positions. Fast forward to today, he is again the President of the Nashville NAACP Chapter. ⭐️

Today on the show, he vents about “placeholders” within the organization and how often times those that have a position, want the title but not the work. This episode is jam packed … take some time to listen to a black man vent today. ✌🏽
