Join us this week with our first featured guest, my mother Deborah (Debbie) Cox as she shares a little bit of her life growing up in southern Mississippi and being a Black Southern woman who shattered racial boundaries by becoming one of six students to integrate the public school system in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. We also delve into being the first child of nine, being darker hued and of course being surrounded by strong Black women.

We, meaning me, are rambling this week. How else do you describe a podcast where we talk about sugar grits, wicks, collard greens and reality tv. Oh what a tangled web we weave when we a little bit bored...
