  • Summary

  • There's no doubt that the experience of being a Black Girl at a PWI is unique beyond words. As if being in such a mentally overwhelming and especially challenging space isn't enough--we rarely have the mentors, tools we need, or even a guidebook on how to make it to the other side. But.. what if we did? Through Black Girl At a PWI, you will get firsthand insight into what it really means to thrive instead of just survive--and what the journey of getting to a place of thriving actually looks like for those that live it. Within each episode and season of this pod, you will hear about the multi-faceted PWI experience of Black students and my spoken and authentic truths about my experience as a young, loud, Black woman at predominantly white institutions. In a safe space, there's not much that's off limits--so when we talk about identity, leadership, social life, imposter syndrome, love, isolation, community, stereotypes, crazy experiences and everything in between--don't be surprised! We're here to make sure that you have more than 10 minutes full of SOMETHING that will keep you laughing, crying, and syllable-clapping with us. So don't just take our word for it--listen in for yourself, you've been warned😉!
