    Mar 2 2021

Hey everyone! Episode 2 coming at you featuring Mike Coleman, creator of the Mikole YouTube Channel.

Today, Mike and Alex talk about a couple of issues that have been hot in Korea and the US recently.

First, we discuss the recent news about vaccines being available in Korea to us, and what that means.

Next, we look at the KPOP industry. What is the "illusion of KPOP"? We also discuss our thoughts on the issue of bullying that has been popping up as many KPOP idols have been called out for past bullying behavior.

And finally we look at the problems with violence against Asian Americans in the US, and how it's been an overlooked topic that really needs to be taken more seriously. We may be late to the game here, but it's time to step up and talk about this.

  • How Korea has Changed over 30 Years ft. Arirang Radio Host Peter Bint
    Nov 15 2020

Korea has seen as much change as any country in the past century, from it's time as a colony of Japan in the first half of the 20th century to the extreme poverty of the post Korean War era to the incredible economic powerhouse that it is today.

Peter, seasoned radio veteran and host of the daily Arirang Radio program #DailyK, has been a part of this change for over 30 years of this change. Growing up with a Korean mom who constantly took the family back to Korea over the years, he was able to see it from a young person's eyes in the 80s and 90s. And he's been living with his own family in Seoul, Korea, for much of his adult life.

Alex and Peter talk about the changes they've experienced firsthand in Korea, from the KPOP scene to the cityscape to the way foreigners are seen by the local Koreans.
