    As part of the Via Alpina Youth project, we carried out an international training for youth workers on inclusion and sustainability in Wildhaus, Switzerland. We had the opportunity to get to know participants from all over the Alps, presenting their good practices. In this episode of the CIPRA podcast, we explore the topics of hiking and inclusion with Marjeta Čič - Deputy Head of the Slovenian Alpine Association's Board, InPlaninec. A project that helps people with dissabilities to enjoy the mountains.     Environmental protection, car-free mobility and work-life balance: These are the political demands of young people from Germany, France, Slovenia and Liechtenstein. In this episode we discuss the learnings, surprises and demands at the end of our "Alpine Compass" project. CIPRA Slovenia (lead partner), CIPRA International, CIPRA Germany and CIPRA France analysed in the project, what constitutes quality of life for young people aged 16-30 from Slovenia, Germany, France and Liechtenstein. The Alpine-wide results can be found in the dossier "Quality of Life and Young People in the Alps". The project was funded by Erasmus+.     «Es braucht wahnsinnig viel Energie, so zu tun, als wäre nichts» meint Bea Albermann. Die junge Ärztin aus der Schweiz hat «Health vor Future Switzerland» mitbegründet und arbeitet derzeit als Assistenzärztin am Universitätsspital in Lausanne. Das Wirtschaftsmagazin Forbes listet jedes Jahr 30 Persönlichkeiten unter 30 Jahren, die Ausserordentliches geleistet haben. In der Schweiz befand sich 2022 Bea Albermann auf dieser prominenten Liste. Sie ist zudem Co-Autorin der nationalen Planetary-Health-Strategie des Schweizer Ärztedachverbands und ehemalige Jugenddelegierte der Weltgesundheitsorganisation. Albermann hat neben zahlreichen anderen Vorträgen und TEDx-Talks auch eine Eröffnungsrede beim von der CIPRA organisierten Zukunftsforum Alpen Liechtenstein 2023 gehalten – zum Thema Klima und Gesundheit. Das internationale Projekt MultiBios erforscht gemeinsam mit Biosphärenparks in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz, wie sich betroffene Gemeinden und Regionen besser auf multiple Klimarisiken vorbereiten können. In dieser Ausgabe des CIPRA Podcasts reisen wir mit dem Projektteam nach Bad Kleinkirchheim, einer Tourismusgemeinde im Kärntner Biosphärenpark Nockberge. Dort und im nahegelegenen Gegendtal haben Starkregen und Hochwasser 2022 enorme Schäden angerichtet, eine Person kam dabei ums Leben. On 1 July 2023, the members organised a podcast workshop, followed by a panel discussion with Joanna Kornacki from the Austrian Alpine Association, Axel Giottonini from the Youth Forum of the Swiss Working Group for Mountain Regions and Tom Van de Plassche from “Protect Our Winters Italy”. After the panel session, the participants shared their opinions on quality of life in the Alps in a recorded group discussion. This special episode provides a unique perspective on the views and opinions of the younger generation living in the Alpine region.
