The Disneyland website describes this attraction saying: Drop on in and come along for the ride with Princess Tiana on an exhilarating musical adventure. The thrill level describes the attraction as being a Thrill Ride that is a water ride with big drops.

Before we head to the bayou, here are five fast facts about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland.

    1. In June of 2020, Disney announced they would be re-theming Splash Mountain at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom to Tiana’s Bayou adventure, based on the 2009 film The Princess and the Frog.

    2. The Magic Kingdom version of the attraction opened on June 28, 2024 and the Disneyland version is scheduled to open on November 15, 2024. The audio for this episode was recorded during Magic Key holder previews on November 5, 2024.

    3. In September 2022, it was announced that several voice actors from the original film would be reprising their roles to provide voices for the attraction. This includes Anika Noni Rose as Tiana and Michael-Leon Wooley as Lewis

    4. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure features 48 audio animatronics in the attraction including several state of the art figures for Tiana and Lewis.

    5. The storyline of the attraction has Tiana’s Foods built on a salt dome. This inspiration was taken from the Avery Island salt dome in Louisiana.

Let’s hop a log to Tiana’s Foods. After the ride audio I’ll give you my thoughts on this attraction. This is a binaural recording so if you have headphone put them on now as we ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland!

    Welcome to Attraction Checklist.

This episode we head to Epcot to experience Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.

The Walt Disney World website describes this attraction by saying: Explore the wonders of water along a lush trail that’s fun for all ages—based on the Disney animated film Moana.

There are no age or height requirements for this walk through attraction.

Before we play with water, here are five fast facts about Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.

    1. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, was originally slated to open in 2021 as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. The opening was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the attraction officially opened on October 16, 2023.

    2. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is located in the World Nature neighborhood of Epcot near The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

    3. Guests can take two paths as they explore Journey of Water. Those who’d prefer not to get wet can take the dry path while those interested in interacting with the water can take the wet path.

    4. Journey of Water keeps the original spirit of EPCOT alive as it teaches guests about the global water cycle and follows the journey of water from the sky to the sea and back again.

    5. Several characters from the film Moana are hidden throughout the attraction, both on land and in the water. The centerpiece of the attraction is not hidden at all and that is the 15 foot high sculpture of Te Fiti which is comprised of over 3000 pieces of foliage.

Let’s go walk through Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. John B. deHaas is along for the journey and after we walk through we’ll give you our thoughts on this attraction. This is a binaural recordings so if you have headphone put them on now as we experience Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT.

    TRANSCRIPT:

    Welcome to Attraction Checklist.

This episode we head to Frontierland in Disneyland to ride Sailing Ship Columbia.

The Disneyland website describes this attraction saying: Sail into the wilderness aboard a full-scale replica of a majestic ship from the 18th century. There are no age or height requirements for this attraction and the Thrill Level describes it as being a Slow Water Ride that can get Loud.

Before we embark on our journey, here are five fast facts about the Sailing Ship Columbia.

    1. The Sailing Ship Columbia opened at Disneyland park on June 14, 1958.

    2. The story goes that in the early days of Disneyland, Walt Disney wanted more traffic on the Rivers of America. He asked Joe Fowler to come up with an idea for a new ship and, after research, Fowler suggested the Columbia Rediviva - The first American vessel to circumnavigate the globe.

    3. The original designs for the ship were sketched out on a napkin by Ray Wallace. The masts, rigging, spars and sails of the Columbia were constructed at Todd Shipyards, Los Angeles Division, San Pedro, CA

    4. The Columbia can hold up to 300 guests on each 12 minute trip around Tom Sawyer’s Island.

    5. The Columbia has a starring role in the nighttime spectacular Fantastic! Serving as Captain Hook’s ship, the Jolly Roger, in the original and current incarnations of the show and as The Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean in the version that ran from 2017 to 2023.

Let’s set sail on the Sailing Ship Columbia. John B. deHaas is joining me again today and after we ride, we’ll give you our thoughts on this attraction. This is a binaural recording so if you have headphone put them on now as we ride Sailing Ship Columbia at Disneyland!
