Yantra An ashta digbandhana yantra is a sacred pattern that can be kept in a puja room and worshipped daily. It is said to be powerful and efficient, and is inscribed with beej mantras that are believed to protect against harm. Benefits Ashta digbandhana is said to bring good fortune, health, wealth, peace, progress, and prosperity. Worship When worshipping an ashta digbandhana yantra, the devotee should imagine themselves in the center of a sacred circle of sun fire. Arunachalam is also the name of a sacred hillock in Tiruvannamalai, India, associated with Lord Shiva. The Arunachalam Giri Pradakshina, or girivallam, is a spiritual journey that involves circumambulating the base of the hill. The path takes devotees past eight Ashtalingam temples, which are: Indra Lingam: Located in the east Agni Lingam: Located in the southeast Yama (Ema) Lingam: Located in the south Niruthi Lingam: Located in the southwest Varuna Lingam: Located in the west Vayu Lingam: Located in the northwest Kubera Lingam: Located in the north Esanya Lingam: Located in the northeast The circumambulation covers a distance of about 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) and takes devotees through temples, ashrams, and other sacred sites. Full moon days, or Pournami, are considered the most auspicious time to perform the circumambulation. There is also a 2023 movie called Ashtadigbandhanam about four people who meet unexpectedly and experience unexpected changes in their lives.
