Dr. Skinner is the Professor of New Testament at Luther Seminary. He has written about the Bible for websites including Huffington Post, Working Preacher, and ON Scripture—The Bible. He co-hosts Sermon Brainwave, a popular weekly podcast that offers assistance to preachers as they interpret biblical texts to prepare their sermons.

Ordained as a teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA), Skinner also serves as the Scholar for Adult Education at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis.

We've decided John's account of the crucifixion and resurrection are our favorite of the four gospels and the reinstatement of Peter after his denial is a beautiful story or redemption.
