  • Summary

  • Angenette is a reporter and anchor for the Law and Crime Network.  Since her days working in local television, I've always found myself more interested in the stories she covers because of the way she covers them.

I knew nothing about the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial but got hooked on it watching her reporting.  I talked with Angenette about what it’s like covering a celebrity trial, how she deals with celebrity superfans, and her experience  covering the Steven Avery trial as well her reaction to  that case being the basis for Netflix’s Making a Murderer.

We also discussed  Angenette’s big career pivot and my grandmother's reaction to it, the insane story behind solving an Amber Alert live on air, and her little-known appearance on the The Late Show With David Letterman.

I love talking to people who know a LOT about something I’m mostly clueless about, and episodes like this are why I did this project.
