  • Allan Walsh came into the studio with Kyle Vine on The Music Prophet and spoke about the beauty of Jazz music, why people like and love jazz music and who created fusion jazz. About The Band: Allan J. Walsh has taught at Laurentian University and Cambrian College over the past 30 years and was Executive Director of Sudbury Jazz Festival for over 10 years. . His expertise is  in woodwinds and jazz performance as well as popular music, jazz history, theory, woodwind pedagogy and ensembles. Although his specialty is saxophone he is also an accomplished clarinetist and flutist. While on a study fellowship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston Allan held the 2nd tenor saxophone chair with the Hal McIntyre Orchestra. Allan’s jazz quartet and trio have recorded for C.B.C. Radio and have been featured on regional and national broadcasts.
