This week we travel around the universe at 186,000 miles/hr.  From the M87 galaxy to the center of our own Milky Way, we investigate stellar black holes and their much larger cousins supermassive black holes.  It's not all darkness this week though!  We explore the groundbreaking discoveries of Albert Einstein and some galactic fireworks so bright they outshine their entire galaxy.  There are some mind-bending facts this week, but like always, we will navigate them together.

Wait, are pink dolphins real? The stunning and mystical pink river dolphins of the Amazon basin are our shining stars for this inaugural episode of the Academy of Anything.  What a treat!  We explore everything from the cause of their unique pink coloring to the evolution of these pink cetaceans over millions of years.  It's not all fun and games though.  Mysterious local superstitions that have shrouded the pink river dolphins for generations are just the beginning of the troubles facing these aquatic marvels.  Pink dolphins are dying at an alarming rate, and this probably isn't too much of a spoiler, but we humans and climate change are the ones to blame.  It's not all hopeless though because there's still time to save the river dolphins still out there.  We live in a world with pink dolphins for crying out loud!  They are just one example of the natural treasures on this planet we call home, and I think their conservation is something we can all get behind.
