    GUEST: Charles Liu is an astrophysics professor at the City University of New York’s College of Staten Island and an associate with the Hayden Planetarium and Department of Astrophysics at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. His research focuses on colliding galaxies, supermassive black holes, and the star formation history of the universe. In 2020, he was named a Legacy Fellow of the American Astronomical Society. In 2024, he was awarded the American Astronomical Society Education Prize. His wife and three kids are all way smarter than he is.
