  • The mental effort of the hike starts to get to us.  We have bad news from home and have to return to the UK.  Three weeks later, I’m back  on the trail, alone, hiking solo through Northern California.  I meet and spend time with a backcountry trail crew from the California Conservation Corps, before hiking across the state border into Oregon.
